How Convertix was born

A story of 4 strangers, desire, and 1 idea

Most startups begin with a strategy, business plan, and people who've known each other for years. Convertix started differently.

We were essentially strangers

A QA automation engineer, a SaaS engineer, and 2 React developers who met around a single idea: to create a tool that really solves problems on Upwork.

Our founder, Volodymyr, was deep in the trenches of Upwork, dealing with the same headaches every freelancer and agency knows too well: endless hours spent sending proposals, testing high-priced automation tools that still fell short, and struggling with missing features.

He realized that all the tools on the market weren't really solving the problem. At first, he tried to find investors among his Upwork clients, but that door didn't open. So instead, he set out to find people who shared his vision and determination. That's how 4 strangers met on djinni and came together to build a new kind of tool for Upwork - starting with zero budget, but a lot of passion.

Building with almost nothing

Team: 4 builders

Time: 8 months

Budget: just $300 in total spent

That's it. No investors. No fancy offices. Just grit, trust, and shared vision.

Why we built it

Oh, we've been there.

  • • Sending endless proposals with no replies
  • • Losing deals to cheaper, less experienced competitors
  • • Wasting hours managing leads manually
  • • Struggling to show ROI to clients

We understand the pain of Upwork, which is why we designed a tool to help Agencies and freelancers turn Upwork into a reliable and scalable revenue stream.

People Who Built Convertix
